The Great Replacement

The New York Times, two contrasting headlines:

They pull this scam with so many issues:

When you talk about it: “It is a conspiracy theory that is not happening”
When they talk about it: “It is good that it is happening!”

- Fox News host Jeanine Pirro has stirred fresh controversy by touting white supremacist ideals. In a radio interview with Fox Nation's Todd Starnes on Thursday, Pirro was asked who she thought Democrats hated more President Donald Trump or the people who put him into office. Pirro responded by pushing a version of the "great replacement" conspiracy theory, which centers around the idea that progressives want to replace white Americans with immigrants to change voting demographics.

Comparing the projection made by Cerberus 2.0 and those made by the state planners, the Gefira report expects the Swedish to be a minority by 2066 i.e. by the end of this century only one-third of the population will be of Swedish descent, which means almost a total re-population.

Replacement Migration: Is it a solution to declining and ageing populations?

United Nations projections indicate that between 1995 and 2050, the population of Japan and virtually all countries of Europe will most likely decline. In a number of cases, including Estonia, Bulgaria and Italy, countries would lose between one quarter and one third of their population. Population ageing will be pervasive, bringing the median age of population to historically unprecedented high levels. For instance, in Italy, the median age will rise from 41 years in 2000 to 53 years in 2050. The potential support ratio -- i.e., the number of persons of working age (15-64 years) per older person -- will often be halved, from 4 or 5 to 2.

Focusing on these two striking and critical trends, the report examines in detail the case of eight low-fertility countries (France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, United Kingdom and United States) and two regions (Europe and the European Union). In each case, alternative scenarios for the period 1995-2050 are considered, highlighting the impact that various levels of immigration would have on population size and population ageing.

The Guardian article screenshot: "A deadly ideology: how the ‘great replacement theory’ went mainstream", written by Steve Rose.

So where did the great replacement theory come from – and how did it become so prevalent? It is not a new concept or a fringe concern. Rather, it is a fringe concern and a mainstream one – espoused by “lone wolf” mass shooters and prominent politicians. According to a recent YouGov poll, 61% of Trump voters and 53% of Fox News viewers believe it is true.

Prof Matthew Feldman, a writer and specialist on rightwing extremism, explains that there are two versions of the theory. “One, we might call it ‘great replacement lite’, is saying: ‘There’s a huge demographic shift and these people tend to vote Democrat in the US or Labour in the UK.’” Then there is what Feldman calls the “full-fat” version, which says: “‘This is a conspiracy organised by elites – they’re deliberately undermining white majorities.’

“Both of them are, in a sense, conspiracy theories, saying this isn’t just patterns of immigration and demographic change, but this is being engineered. But who is engineering it, and for what, is something the further fringes of the far right are all too keen to speculate on.”
The Guardian article screenshot: "UK whites will be minority by 2100"

 - Whites will be an ethnic minority in Britain by the end of the century. Analysis of official figures indicate that, at current fertility rates and levels of immigration, there will be more non-whites than whites by 2100.
It would be the first time in history that a major indigenous population has voluntarily become a minority, rather than through war, famine or disease. Whites will be a minority in London by 2010.
In the early 1950s there were only a few tens of thousands of non-whites in the UK. By 1991 that had risen to 3 million - 6 per cent of the population. The population of ethnic minorities has been growing at between 2 and 4 per cent a year. Net immigration has been running at record levels, with 185,000 newcomers last year.

The Guardian article screenshot: "Keir Starmer under fire for failing to challenge radio caller's racism"

- Labour MPs criticise his response to woman who talks of ‘great replacement’ theory on LBC phone-in.

Keir Starmer has been criticised for failing to challenge a caller to a radio phone-in who advanced a racist conspiracy theory and hailed Israel as an ethnonationalist utopia.

The caller to his LBC phone-in said she opposed footballers taking a knee in solidarity with antiracism “because if anything the racial inequality is now against the indigenous people of Britain, because we are set to become a minority by 2066”.

The claim is a feature of the “great replacement” conspiracy theory that claims elites are using migration to make white people an ethnic minority in Europe.
